Wray & Nephew Bar Book

Wray & Nephew is one of Jamaica’s most cherished Rums that the United States has never heard of. We created a bar book that was sent to prestigious United States bartenders to introduce them to the history, culture and versatility of this overproof rum. Since there was no established design style for Wray & Nephew, besides the bottle, we were able to develop our own assets and style for the book.

design elements

We paid homage to Jamaican culture with the inclusion of the diagonal cross on all spreads. The color palette was pulled from Kingston's yard art murals. We treated photography with a halftone to maintain consistency and to evoke a grass roots feel. Photography was paired with custom line illustrations reminiscent of Jamaican artist, Robin Clare.

Translated the look and feel from the Wray & Nephew book onto recipe cards for the US Wray and Nephew Facebook and Instagram Channels.
